Julie Amaral, RN,BSN Important Information Regarding recent Flu Outbreak Dr. Kevin Murphy - School Physician School Nurses:
Julie Amaral RN, BSN - Spring Street School Health Services in the West Bridgewater Public Schools is something we are very proud of. Thanks to funding from the Department of Public Health, we have been able to greatly enhance our existing resources over the past few years. Besides the additional nursing positions that have been added to ensure coverage at each school, we have also been able to update our technology, health room supplies and furniture, screening machines and educational materials. In addition, we have been able to offer a number of educational programs for students, staff and parents.
Our nursing
staff is extremely committed to assisting students and families in achieving
optimal health in both the school and home setting. We work closely with
teachers and other staff members to ensure a healthy educational environment for
the students. Our nurses are very approachable and are great resources for both
information and health related needs. We invite parents to call with any
questions or concerns they may have. Health Education: Mrs. Donna DePaola teaches Health Education to students in grades K through 6. Mrs. DePaola works very closely with the school nurses to ensure that we cover the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks in the area of health education.
